Congratulations, Mona!

We just wanted everyone to be aware of the baptism of Mona Perez taking place this
Saturday, November 22 at 11:00am at the West Lane Building.
All are invited to come and support Mona in this important day in her life.

Ward Winter Social

Come celebrate the holiday season with your Creekside Ward family on
Saturday, December 13 at 5:00pm.
An Italian dinner will be served with live music provided my some of our young men until 6:00.
Each family is asked to bring a dessert to share.
At 6:00 the talent show will begin. All ages are encouraged to participate and if you have a talent that can't be performed on stage then there will be display tables available.
Contact Joey Stillwell about signing up:
209-688-4631 or 209-955-0531.
The Secret Santa/Secret Pixie tradition will continue this year. With either option you will be given the name of a family and expected to deliver a gift to that family every week in December until Christmas. If you choose to do Secret Santa then you will only be giving gifts but not receiving any. The Secret Pixie program is arranged so that you will both give & receive. Sign-up sheets will be going around on Sundays for both Secret Santa and Secret Pixie or you can email Kristin Stillwell at kstillwell@allstate.com
and tell her which way you would like to participate.
Please note that when you sign up for either of these activities it is your responsibility to deliver the gifts to your designated family each week. If you are unable to make a delivery for any reason, you will need to find a substitute immediately. Please keep this in mind when committing to engage in this program and be aware of any possible scheduling or other conflicts. This ensures the best possible experience for all involved.
Thank you for your generous and caring actions, we are all truly blessed to be in such a Christlike ward.

Relief Society Christmas Social

The Relief Society Christmas Social will be held on Thursday, December 11 at 6:00pm at the Don Avenue building.
Dinner will be served promptly at 6:15 so please do your best to be on time.
If you have no other means of child care, a nursery will be provided for healthy children. Please feed your children before you come and either leave a comment here or watch for a sign up sheet on Sundays to let us know how many children you will be bringing and their ages. Thank you!
This will be a great fellowshipping opportunity for sisters you visit teach or those who may be less active so please help us in spreading the word about this special event. Invitations will be coming soon.

We had a great time at the ward Halloween Party last week but missed a lot of you. Here are some pictures of the room that the Relief Society decorated. We hope you all had a happy Halloween and can make it to some of our upcoming activities (for a list of everything going on, look on the left side of the screen).

Park Day Change

Due to the high chance of rain and cool temperatures tomorrow we are moving "park day" to Katie Carr's house (9811 Northridge Way), but we will still meet at 11am. The easiest way to get there is to take Estate Dr. to Northstar then follow Northstar around until it turns into Northridge.
We will make this into a mini Halloween party so feel free to come in your costume. We will also have a few easy crafts and games to play. Please let Katie know if you plan on attending. You can email at ktacarr@gmail.com or call 390-1855. Feel free to bring friends or neighbors--the more the merrier!

That includes neighbors, friends from other wards or even friends from other faiths.

Welcome Baby!

Congratulations to Mom, Amy Mowlem, and Grandma, Kathie Mowlem! Amy delivered a little baby boy on Monday, September 8. Little Noah weighs 6lbs. 12 oz. and is 20 inches long.

Noah had to spend a little time in the NICU because he had a breathing problem at birth but he is now breathing on his own and should be released from the NICU soon.

Much love to Amy, Kathie and little Noah!

How to...

If you are new to the world of blogging-welcome! Here are a few tips on how to get the most out of this blog and stay informed.

TO MAKE A COMMENT: At the bottom of each post (a post is a new story or event added by someone. It will have a title and then text following) you will see "Posted by Creekside R.S. 3:29pm 0 comments." To make a comment, simply click on "0 comments" (The number will not be 0 if someone has already made a comment). A box will appear for you to type whatever you would like. Please note that anyone who clicks on "0 comments" will be able to see what you wrote as you will be able to see other people's comments. After typing your comment or question you will be asked to choose an identity. If you have a Gmail email account you can use that username and password or you can select "Anonymous." Once you select "Publish your comment" it will go to our email account for approval and then be seen on the blog shortly after. Rest assured this approval process is merely a technicality and we will not pick and choose which comments we publish.

TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS OF NEW POSTS: If you have a Google (Gmail) or Yahoo account and would like to receive an email whenever someone adds a new post, go to "Subscribe to" at the top left of the screen and click on "Posts." From the drop down menu select the option you want and follow the prompts (for Gmail you want the Google Reader). To receive notifications whenever someone makes a comment on a post, follow the same steps under "All comments."

If you ever have any questions on this blog or how to use it please feel free to send us an email at creeksidereliefsociety@gmail.com or talk to Katie Carr in person.

Welcome!

Welcome to the new Creekside Relief Society blog! We have designed this in an effort to keep the sisters of our ward informed on upcoming events, birthdays, etc. and hope you will find it useful. We have also enabled it so you may make a comment on any post or ask us any questions. You may do so anonymously if you would prefer. We also have a new email address set up just for R.S. issues. Feel free to use it anytime! It is creeksidereliefsociety@gmail.com. Thanks for visiting, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
